FAQs

Are there any side effects?

Biofeedback and Neurofeedback are safe and non-invasive. Both are considered exercise and learning, so you will be closely monitored.

Will I still need medication?

As your brain and body relearn healthy patterns, it may be necessary to re-evaluate your medication dosage.  Your doctor should handle any changes in medication. As your Parkinson's Health Advocate, I can discuss your changes with your care team.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person with Parkinson's is unique. Given over 20 years of experience, I can better understand the training duration after our first evaluation, which will include a comprehensive history intake. I will also look at the brain (EEG)  biomarkers of your Parkinson's to help guide your program duration.

Why doesn’t my doctor know about this?

Biofeedback and Neurofeedback are not taught in most medical schools.  Understanding the brain's workings is a constantly evolving and rapidly advancing field.  We are on the frontier of Neuroscience, and everything the brain manages is now within our reach.

Does insurance cover Biofeedback/Neurofeedback for Parkinson’s?

We are a fee-for-service clinic. We can provide you with information for insurance billing.
